Mergus — Privacy Policy

Who we are

Mergus is operated by MrJernberg AB (Jernbit), a Swedish company. Contact: support@mymomentum.se.

What data we collect

Account data: your email address and a display alias. No password — you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email.
Game data: the matches, rounds, categories, and answers from games you play, used to show scores and results to you and the players you've matched with.
Push notification token (optional): if you allow notifications, your device's push token, used to alert you when it's your turn.

We do not collect device identifiers, location data, advertising IDs, or any data from third-party sources.

How we use your data

To sign you in and operate your account.
To run multiplayer matches and show you and your opponents the results.
To notify you when it's your turn to play, if you've allowed notifications.

If you're matched against a bot player, the bot only ever sees the trivia question and category list for that turn — never your email, alias, or any other personal data. We don't use your data for advertising.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of contract — providing the game you signed up for. You may withdraw at any time by deleting your account.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is stored on Railway (infrastructure provider). Login codes are delivered by e-mail via our own mail-sending infrastructure.

Data retention

Account and game data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account immediately and yourself, at any time, from within the app (Account → Delete account) — this permanently anonymizes your email and alias right away, no waiting period or support request needed.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights (beyond the in-app deletion above), contact support@mymomentum.se.

Security

All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Your login session is stored in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), never in plain text.

Children

Mergus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
